Skippy (1967)

Family series, kangaroo
Year: 1968-1970
Year in film: 1960s
Country: Australia
Who in bedroom: Sonny ~9 (s1)
Kind of beds: Single bed
Available on DVD: yes
I own: no, partly TV recording
Rating: 6 /10
Rating: ******
Comment: Garry Pankhurst I think alone in this bedroom (?). He has an older brother (Mark, played by 19 yo Ken James), but I don’t remember his room. Maybe he sleeps in this room as well? The room looks big enough and often brothers sleep together in that time, so it’s very likely although the age difference. So tagging “2 brothers”.

I have to check this again and only found very few bedroom scenes. Very good and famous animal series (similar to Flipper). There is also a 1992 series “The Adventures of Skippy” starring Andrew Clarke, which I also have to check. Obviously a sister instead of a brother in there.

Rating 6-7 for now. Series rating ~8.

Update: I checked many episodes, maybe half of all and still couldn’t find Mark’s bedroom. There are different locations and the bedroom with 2 beds is maybe not at their home. The last pic (from s1e19) is Sonny’s bedroom which is very small. There is no room for another bed and there’s a big window front (see other entry) on the other wall maybe including an outer door. The first 2 pics are obviously not his room, maybe of his dad or brother. Pic 3 (s1e29) showing Mark hiding in the southern bed but sneaking into that house. There is a another teen boy and teen girl shown. In s1e1 there you can see the other window front and also the hallway.

I now also have the 90s remake (twin brother+sister, bunk bed, rating 6)

They were still showing reruns of this well into the 70s in Australia. I used to watch it every day after school in Albury, NSW.
