Brandon Cruz (“Kung Fu (1972)”, The Bad News Bears 1976) pictured in this room. Not sure if this is his bedroom or his father’s. The bed appears quite large and more for a grown-up. I also don’t know what episode is this from. Maybe from season 3 where he was 9 yo but might be earlier. No siblings but there’s also a 7 yo girl (Jody Foster).

Based on the 1963 movie starring red haired, young Ron Howard as Eddie (see previous post, rating 3).

Also on my sailor suit blog showing Jody Foster in a sailor dress (rating 3).

Sorry, I can’t say much more and have to check more episodes.

Rating 5 for now.

Ronnie Howard sleeps in this room with a wooden bed. Dart board on the right wall. More famous is maybe his dad’s room where he’s on the double bed in red/white pajamas and also shirtless (11 minutes). Later in blue/white pajamas. Scene at 3 minutes.

Quite good and funny classic movie but Ron Howard is very young here. And unfortunatley no siblings. I think few and brief scenes where he is in this bed. So rating 3-4 only.

I found a pic dark lit and in the movie I only found a close-up view and a side view (42 minutes). But this blog is about the rooms and not beds or headshots.

There’s also a 1969-1972 TV series starring Brandon Cruz and Jodie Foster (Sailor suit blog rating 3 for Jodie). Entry here coming soon.

Two gay teen boys, played by Philippe Bories and Bernard Flamain in and on one older looking metal bed. Also later in a tent.

44 minutes short film. B&w. English title “A History Without Importance”.

Quite interesting and controversial in these days. But there are lots of other and better gay themed and coming-of-age movies.

For the bed/bedroom rating 5 only.

At least two locations of interest. At home with singel/separate beds and at an orphange with several beds in a small room. I think around 14 beds in 3 rows. 2 in the middle are vertically aligned the others horizontally. There are also 2 older persons in one bed (not sure if 2 teen boys or one woman).

I’ve heard of this movie before but somehow thought that it would a very different documentary movie or better series about teens on a ship.

Very interesting and rare dorm. Usually they have bunk beds when there are many kids in a small room.

Directed by Thierry Redler starring Jim Redler.

Rating 6-7. There are better movies.

Comment: There are 2 brothers Simon (David Gallagher, ~11 yo in season 1), Matt 22, and 3 sisters Ruthie 7, Lucy 15 and Mary 14. (Jessica Biel as Mary looking older and plays the oldest sister). Later around season 4 there are the twin brothers Sam and David. Different bedroom constellation, also other actors/locations.

This pic is from s11e1 showing the twins Sam and David (played by Lorenzo and Nikolas Brino, in fact the Brino quadruplets playing them). Nice wooden beds. Funny scene. They can’t sleep because it’s too silent. So 2 brothers sharing a room (not tagged that earlier).

Main entry also showing the others and also including a bunk bed, rating 4

I still need to recheck later episodes of Simon (probably not sharing his room with Ruthie anymore). And I also have to check if the twins wearing bib overalls later as well. (Who can help here?)

Some orphaned boys in a large, roomy dorm at a boarding school with metal beds.

Should not show Pagnol’s childhood memories, and set a bit later around 1925,  but filmed at his school in 1935 although it looks older.

I like Pagnol movies but there are much better ones (Check out my sailor suit blog).

Rating 3-4 for this one.

Update: The Suite Life of Zack and Cody (foldaway beds)

suitelifeofzackandcody-s1e13

As I only have one entry with a foldaway bed, I searched for some more. It’s called different like wall bed, pull-down bed, fold-down bed and Murphy bed. The latter one with most success.

Most movies and series are classics (b&w) and mainly comedy. The only one of interest with younger actors I found is this.

This pic is from s1e13 (2005) showing two foldaway beds (next each other). Unfortunately not the Sprouse twins but teen girls. London and Maddie (not sisters). This is the room of Maddie (and Mary ?). London who has to stay there, is being trapped and pulled up by the bed.

Very good series rating 6-7. But for bedroom scenes rating 5 only. Main entry (messy room of the boys) at
