Year in film: 1980s ?

Who in bedroom: Stas ~10, Asia 13, Basia 9
Kind of beds: same bed
Available on DVD: yes
I own: no
Rating: 6/10
Rating: ******
Comment: 9 or 10 yo Tadeusz Horvath aka Tadeusz Horvath-Sienkiewicz as Stas (Stanni in Germany), pic 2 sharing the room with 2 girls (one older, one younger), probably his sisters played by Agnieszka Krukówna (Asia/Anja) and Monika Sapilak (?) as Basia/Bärbel. Beds of the girls a bit angled. Beige or yellow wooden beds and farm setting. Not sure about the time setting. Probably the 80s. Pics from ep 2.

There are also 3 more kids (2 young twin boys and one girl), but I haven’t seen their room, yet.

Also on my bib overalls blog (boy, girl, man, rating 6) and my pigtails blog (rating 6). German title: Die Kinder vom Mühlental.

I still have to recheck the complete series as well as the sequels.

Rating 6 for now. 2 sisters and one brother in one room is quite rare. Interesting farm room.

Year: 1993
Year in film: 1920s
Country: Sweden, Denmark
Who in bedroom: Roland ~14, Bertil 15
Kind of beds: same bed
Available on DVD: yes
I own: yes, partly TV recording
Rating: 8/10
Rating: ********
Comment: Jesper Salén (main character Roland, on the right) and his older brother sharing one bed in 1920s Stockholm.

Very interesting coming-of-age movie. I could I miss this? I have still most parts on a VHS. Maybe because I mainly remembered other scenes? Many good and even funny scenes. And the 3rd movie with a tongue at frozen steel.

Of course lots of historical clothes, but I only notice a woman in a sailor dress. Boxing scenes but I think not shiny shorts.

Handsome actors. Very good movie. English titles: The Slingshot, Innocent Life.

So rating 8-9.

Menino Maluquinho: O Filme

Family comedy film
Year: 1995
Year in film: 1990s
Country: Brazil
Who in bedroom: Nutty, other
Kind of beds: separate beds
Available on DVD: yes
I own: no, partly TV recording
Rating: 7/10
Rating: *******
Comment: Samuel Costa and another person in nice, wooden beds. I think, he don’t have siblings. Maybe a friend or grown-up? I also remember another, colorful, room with his friends and also inside a tent.

I don’t remember the complete movie. Based on the 1980 comics by Ziraldo.

Another one from my VHS and also on my shiny shorts blog (rating 4). Soon on my pigtails blog, rating 6.

Nice room, good movie, so rating 6-7.

For more infos, see my other blogs.

Off the Mark (1987)

Comedy film aka Crazy Legs
Year: 1987
Year in film: 1970s (beds)
Country: USA
Who in bedroom: Dimitri, Howard ~11, 12 ?
Kind of beds: separate beds
Available on DVD: VHS only ?
I own: no
Rating: 8 /10
Rating: ********
Comment: 2 boys, probably Matthew Licht (younger brother of Jeremy Licht) and Alexander Polinski (as Howard on the bike) sharing this 70s bedroom. Obviously not brothers, but Dimitri is an exchange student. Beds aligned at 90 degrees. I only noticed 2 brief scenes at daytime. Half of the movie is set in the 1980s (grown-ups).

Some interesting scenes like boys in shiny shorts (shiny shorts blog rating 7) and dropping down their pants in front of a girl.

Interesting movie and I like this bedroom.

Although few good scenes and I don’t like the 70s, rating 7-8.

Schloss Einstein – season 20

German TV series about a boarding school
Year: 1998-
Year in film: (1990s)-2010s
Country: Germany
Who in bedroom: ~3 teen boys / girls each
Kind of beds: single beds
Available on DVD: no, partly
I own: yes, partly TV recordings
Rating: 8 /10
Rating: ********
Comment: Some boys and girls, aged 12 and older in different rooms. Room pictured in ep 871 sharing Dominik and 2 new actors (Henri and Jannis).

It’s on a new, third location (since season 19). All very fresh and colorful. I never liked the episodes set in Erfurt.

In yesterday’s ep 872, all 3 boys are shown in their beds talking to each other (bird’s view) and photoshopped next each other on a window. First I thought, that they would share one large bed. One is homesick. Also a funny plot about a friendship contract. Rebroadcasting today. New episodes weekdays on Kika.

Although in the studio, I prefer the first, fictional location in Seelitz (s1-10).

Also on all my other blogs, including the new shiny shorts and pigtail blog but most entries on my bib overalls blog.

Main entry here including a bunk bed

Amazing Stories – s1e13

Mystery series, director Steven Spielberg
Year: 1985-1987
Year in film: 1986
Country: USA
Who in bedroom: Lance, Dennis ~10, 11
Kind of beds: high sleeper + bed
Available on DVD: yes
I own: no, partly
Rating: 5/10
Rating: *****
Comment: Seth Green (Lance, the older brother) and Joshua Rudoy (“Harry and the Hendersons (1987)”) sharing this room. A rare high sleeper with large green (metal ?) posts and wooden side parts. Below the other bed, angled at 90 degrees (for Dennis ?).

I have some few episodes on DVD and TV recordings, but not this one. I have briefly checked some episodes (for shiny shorts) but haven’t found anything of interest. One of the boys here, I think Seth, wearing shorts, but not shiny.

Also on my overalls blog (f, m) rating 5. Great and funny series.

Main entry (s1e1) rating 5 at

2 boys, in a steel bunk bed. 28 minutes. Scene at 14 minutes. Discussion with many, mostly older teen boys and girls. I don’t know how many beds in each room. I only have seen one.

As announced another documentary, I found on archive.org. National Film Board of Canada, about the English school in Leiston/Suffolk after 45 years of foundation.

I don’t like the late 60s and early 70s. But it’s quite interesting. Rating 5.

180 city teens of LA at a mountain camp. 60 minutes. Very simple, selfmade wooden bunk beds. I think mainly older teens. Not sure if more than 2 bunk beds in each room/cabin. Maybe 4?

I found this (and one other) nice documentary on archive.org.

No entry on IMDb (but on tcm).

I only have checked it briefly.

Rating 6-7.

2 brothers in the 1982 episode s4e6 (pic 1, I think Sammy Snyders around 15 yo (“Huckleberry Finn and His Friends (1979)“, rating 8) on the left and a younger film brother, maybe Mark Polley on the right.

I haven’t checked all episodes, yet. But I like this wooden room and this is the best, I’ve found yet. I hope to find some more rooms. Bunk beds? Girls? More siblings?

Pic 2 showing boys at a hospital in s1e22. At least 4 or more likely 6 beds. I only remember these 2 boys. Other beds maybe empty?

Officially on DVD only seasons 1-2.

Also (soon) on all my other blogs (except sailor suits), rating mostly 8-9.

Rating 9-10 for now. For more infos, see my other blogs.

Update: Die Kinder vom Alstertal

I found some few more parts on one of my VHS tapes. (Unknown episode).

In a later episode/season (s3 or s4 ?), Timo and Tobias now sharing a wooden bunk bed.

I wonder why? And why has the younger boy (Tobias, pic 2, wearing boxer shorts) the upper bunk? He’s even bullying his older brother. There are some new (young) actors in later seasons, but they have a big house. There are also girls, but I don’t remember their rooms.

Timo is much more handsome and Tobias now wearing braces and shorter hair.

Rating ~7 for this room. Main entry, rating 10 at
