Das doppelte Lottchen (2017)

doppeltelottchen2017bed

Family TV film, remake, novel by Erich Kästner
Year: 2017
Year in film: 2010s ?
Country: Germany
Who in bedroom: 10 girls ?
Kind of beds: bunk beds
Available on DVD: yes ?
I own: yes, partly TV recording
Rating: 3/10
Rating: ***
Comment: At least 5, maybe 6 or 7 bunk beds in this girls’ room of this boarding school. At least one on the opposite side (right) next some lockers. There are also boys in this boarding school shown, but I haven’t noticed any other dorm. Probably the others look the same. Primitive bunk beds (metal ?).

Has been aired today. The first half is quite good, also showing boys and girls in swimwear (soon on my shiny shorts blog, rating 4). And girls in pigtails (other blog, rating 6).

But besides that, the movie is quite poor and there are several other movies with this plot of the twins.

For bedrooms rating 3-4 only.

Happy Easter!

Comment: 9 or 10 yo Tadeusz Horvath aka Tadeusz Horvath-Sienkiewicz as Stas (Stanni in Germany), pic 2 sharing the room with 2 girls (one older, one younger), probably his sisters played by Agnieszka Krukówna (Asia/Anja) and Monika Sapilak (?) as Basia/Bärbel. Beds of the girls a bit angled. Beige or yellow wooden beds and farm setting. Not sure about the time setting. Probably the 80s. Pics from ep 2.

There are also 3 more kids (2 young twin boys and one girl), but I haven’t seen their room, yet.

Also on my bib overalls blog (boy, girl, man, rating 6) and my pigtails blog (rating 6). German title: Die Kinder vom Mühlental.

I still have to recheck the complete series as well as the sequels.

Rating 6 for now. 2 sisters and one brother in one room is quite rare. Interesting farm room.

The Waltons – Season 7

waltonss7e1

In s7e1 (set around 1941), Mary Ellen and Erin sharing a tiny loft room and a foldayway bed at a guesthouse. Erin likes this room, but Mary Ellen doesn’t.

I prefer posting brothers bedrooms, but there are very few foldaway beds.

The Waltons also have some other and better scenes at their home, mainly 3 brothers in one room and 3 sisters (rating 8). Also some guest and other constellations.

2 sisters, played by Fern Deacon and Eleanor Worthington-Cox sharing one room and partly one bed. They have one younger brother, but he has a room for his own (I haven’t noticed that room).

Quite boring horror movie most of the time and dated setting. Yellow, dark room and wooden beds, looks more like the 1950s or 60s except for the posters. And sharing a bathtub with 3 kids alternately in 1977?

At least a quite unusual movie and girls sharing a bed.

Rating 4-5 only.

Update: Little House on the Prairie (f/m)

lhotp-s9e1lhotp-bed

I found 2 boys, maybe brothers sharing a room in s9e1. Beds are horizontally aligned. The other boy in the left bed is darkhaired.

Pic 2 showing a better view of the attic with Laura and Mary sharing one bed wearing night caps (s1e15). Their little sister sleeps elsewhere, obviously downstairs.

Pic 3 showing an interesting Western-like green metal bed in the 2nd post-series movie Little House: Bless All the Dear Children (1984) (set around 10 years later, probably in the 1880s or 1890s).

Brothers Joey and Matt aka Matthew Lawrence starring here (also as brothers Joey and Matt) but I’m not sure if they also sharing a room. Pic 1 (s5e1) showing at least one wooden bed. Old fashioned furniture but could be the room of one or both boys. Set in California. There are also 3 sisters (~14, 16, 20 in season 1).

Pic 2 from s6e22 showing a different, modern and tidy room with 2 angled beds. Maybe of 2 of the sisters. Sports pennants on the wall, so could also be of the boys.

More infos on my overalls blog (rating 4).

I only found very few bedroom scenes (checked s3-s6 only as the Lawrence brothers only appeared there). Probably some more bedrooms (of adults or teen girls were shown).

Rating 5-6 only.

Update: The Suite Life of Zack and Cody (foldaway beds)

suitelifeofzackandcody-s1e13

As I only have one entry with a foldaway bed, I searched for some more. It’s called different like wall bed, pull-down bed, fold-down bed and Murphy bed. The latter one with most success.

Most movies and series are classics (b&w) and mainly comedy. The only one of interest with younger actors I found is this.

This pic is from s1e13 (2005) showing two foldaway beds (next each other). Unfortunately not the Sprouse twins but teen girls. London and Maddie (not sisters). This is the room of Maddie (and Mary ?). London who has to stay there, is being trapped and pulled up by the bed.

Very good series rating 6-7. But for bedroom scenes rating 5 only. Main entry (messy room of the boys) at

Comment:
The main character has 2 older sisters. One (Alina is some years older), so she probably shares her room with the girl Myshka. There are also 2 boys (friend and orphan). I think she don’t had brothers but not sure. Maybe her friend is just like a brother.

However interesting wooden 1910s Russian bedroom with interesting but probably typical metal beds for it’s time. I don’t remember much more. Most scenes are outsides.

Also on my sailor suit blog, rating 5.

Раннее, раннее утро…, English title: Early, Early morning. Loosely based on the autobiographical 1959 novel “Dinka” (Динка) by Valentina Oseeva (Осеева, Валентина Александровна). There is also another 1971 movie about that called Найди меня, Лёня! (Naydi menya, Lyonya!) but I haven’t checked that.

Comment:
There are 45 episodes but rather few good bedroom scenes. Most siblings are  I think in ep 43. 2 sisters and 3 brothers. The 2 girls, around 9 yo sharing a room (pic 3) and painted a boarder in the middle of the room including a table. Wooden beds, the sheets of the other bed are blue. The room of the boys (Benny, Hannes, Matthias, 2 around 10, 1 around 7) is shown briefly (pic 2). Not sure if all 3 sharing this room, probably at least 2.

Pic 1 is from ep 16 showing a boy without siblings. One more pic of a girl’s bedroom on my overalls blog. Ep 44 showing a wooden high sleeper. I think also a young brother and sister sharing one room. Most kids are very young anyway and boys are longhaired. Many wear corduroy pants.

I like the 80s but rather few scenes of interest. So rating 5 only. Many overalls scenes (rating 7), some very handsome boys and other good scenes (Lederhosen, speedos, shirtless, shiny shorts…)

Comment: Different locations. And from 2 to many kids. In total 18 kids. But not in one room. I think at least 8 rooms. Some kids are older teens (pic 3). The main location is a 2 story house with a lighthouse in it. This is a remake from the 1968 movie, I have to check as well. How could I miss them? I thought, I already had this but it was “Der Typ, 13 Kinder & Ich”.

Pic 1 showing at least 2 light blue bunk beds. A boy as boy scout in the lower bunk. So I think only 4 boys here. (Wooden light blue bunk beds also in the 1968 movie).

Pic 2 only 2 boys at a different location at the beginning of the movie.

Pic 4 showing 5 younger kids (boys+girls) in one room. At least one wooden bunk bed and a separate one. Maybe not even all sleeping in that room. And I haven’t seen any more than 5 in a bedroom.

Unpictured: 2 older teen girls sharing a room (similar to pic 3). Also 2 younger boys sharing one bed (at different orientations like in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days).

Brief scenes of the most interesting room (pic 1). But still interesting film of a large family and different rooms.

One scene with 6 young kids + 2 parents in one bed.

Rating 5-6 only.

Update: I made an entry for the 1968 movie (rating 7)
