Comment: I found these screenshots on my old PC. Aired probably in the early 90s, (movie could be older, maybe late 80s ?). There’s a dorm in an orphanage and a younger, maybe Chinese bedwetting boy. 2 other kids laying his hand in a bowl of water while he sleeps. I think, the boy later tried to escape while the others sleep. And I think is caught by a man. Could also be Spanish or similar.

Does anybody remembers the title?

Comment: Several choir boys in a large dorm with typical simple 1950s metal beds.

I think, according to the plot this should be the Vienna Boys Choir (Wiener Sängerknaben), but credited as Mozart Sängerknaben. Probably only dubbed.

Few good scenes and not even Lederhosen (nor sailor suits).

Also on my bib overalls blog (woman, rating 2).

Quite poor movie and not on DVD either.

For the “bedroom” rating 3-4 only.

Comment: At least 5, maybe 6 or 7 bunk beds in this girls’ room of this boarding school. At least one on the opposite side (right) next some lockers. There are also boys in this boarding school shown, but I haven’t noticed any other dorm. Probably the others look the same. Primitive bunk beds (metal ?).

Has been aired today. The first half is quite good, also showing boys and girls in swimwear (soon on my shiny shorts blog, rating 4). And girls in pigtails (other blog, rating 6).

But besides that, the movie is quite poor and there are several other movies with this plot of the twins.

For bedrooms rating 3-4 only.

Happy Easter!

Comment: Some boys and girls, aged 12 and older in different rooms. Room pictured in ep 871 sharing Dominik and 2 new actors (Henri and Jannis).

It’s on a new, third location (since season 19). All very fresh and colorful. I never liked the episodes set in Erfurt.

In yesterday’s ep 872, all 3 boys are shown in their beds talking to each other (bird’s view) and photoshopped next each other on a window. First I thought, that they would share one large bed. One is homesick. Also a funny plot about a friendship contract. Rebroadcasting today. New episodes weekdays on Kika.

Although in the studio, I prefer the first, fictional location in Seelitz (s1-10).

Also on all my other blogs, including the new shiny shorts and pigtail blog but most entries on my bib overalls blog.

Main entry here including a bunk bed

2 boys, in a steel bunk bed. 28 minutes. Scene at 14 minutes. Discussion with many, mostly older teen boys and girls. I don’t know how many beds in each room. I only have seen one.

As announced another documentary, I found on archive.org. National Film Board of Canada, about the English school in Leiston/Suffolk after 45 years of foundation.

I don’t like the late 60s and early 70s. But it’s quite interesting. Rating 5.

Several boys in this boarding school (I think also shirtless) in a quite large large, nice 1950s dorm. Not sure if there are more dorms. At least 2 rows (or maybe 3) of white metal beds horizontally aligned, separated by low cupboards. There are also tables and high cupboards in the room.

I like classics and this is much better than the remakes. I think rather few scenes in the middle of the movie. I have few entries about boarding schools, especially with early settings. The novel is set even earlier but the plot is timeless and always set in the presence.

Also on my Lederhosen blog (rating 4) and my pigtails blog (boy, rating 8).

Rating 6-7 for this dorm.

Update: Chiquititas (1995)

chiquititas1995-nb2chiquititas1995-nb3

Searching for Chiquititas Brasil (1997) for my overalls blog, I stumbled by coincidence again into this original Argentinian series and found some very interesting new bunk beds. As usual interesting and very colorful.

Pic 1 is from ep 81 in 1998. Boys room and wooden red bunk beds like London buses.

Pic 2 a green room I think of the girls. Same episode. Metal bunk beds green/blue. At least 2 bunk beds and at least one separate bed. Probably not more in this smal room.

Rating 9 for now. Still needs to be checked later.

Main entry, previously rated 3

This is series about an orphanage with at least 5 boys (maybe some or all are brothers ?) sharing one room in season 3 with 2 blue bunk beds and one separate bed. Also at least 6 girls sharing another room (pic 2, ep 120).

There are hundreds of episodes and I only have checked some few of them, mainly 1998 and 1999 for my overalls blog (f/m, rating 6 for now). There are also other locations with single beds. Some bunk beds are maybe in wall niches (at least in the original series). Material unknown. Some bunk beds seems to be out of wood. Last pic rather metal?

Pic 1 is from s3e61. Pic 3 from an unknown episode, probably season 3 as well. That room is very large.

There are also many other Chiquititas series in different countries (originally from Argentina, rating 3) and also a modern 2013 Brasilian series. More posts coming soon.

Rating even 7-8 for now.

Comment:
Some orphaned boys in a large, roomy dorm at a boarding school with metal beds.

Should not show Pagnol’s childhood memories, and set a bit later around 1925,  but filmed at his school in 1935 although it looks older.

I like Pagnol movies but there are much better ones (Check out my sailor suit blog).

Rating 3-4 for this one.

Some younger boys (including Singer Angelito (Ángel Gómez Mateo) as Pachínin) in this dorm in metal bunk beds. Grown up’s, 2 men in a different room in seperate non-bunk metal beds.

I don’t know the complete movie. Many scenes are set on a small ship with the boys in white sailor suits (sailor suit blog rating 5) but I think this dorm is not on the ship.

I’m also not sure about the amount of bunk beds and rooms. Looks like at least 6 bunk beds here.

Quite interesting and I like bunk beds. Some handsome boys.

But rating 6-7 for now only. Movie in color would maybe better.
